The "Texture wrap" preference ("Tube" tab) is set to "1".
- A non-neutral (blue) texture color bias is selected ("Texture" tab) enabling "Strength" and "Smoothing" preferences.
- To avoid oversaturation it is often desirable to exclude the bias color when mixing colors ("Colors" tab), but in this case adding blue to color band 5 results in the blue "halo" effect.
- Because the texture lacks small details, the "Smoothing" preference can be set fairly high without undesirable side effects.
Note: This texture is also used in the next tutorial.
- A non-neutral (green) texture color bias is selected ("Texture" tab) enabling "Strength" and "Smoothing" preferences.
- Note: This tutorial uses the texture from the previous tutorial.
The fan spins if "Frame hop" and "Texture stretch" preferences ("Tube" tab) are set as follows:
- For three key frame texture "12" and "3" (as shown).
- For six key frame texture either "12" and "6", or "6" and "3".
The "Texture wrap" preference ("Tube" tab) is set to "5".
- A non-neutral (red) texture color bias is selected ("Texture" tab) enabling "Strength" and "Smoothing" preferences.
- To avoid side effects such as "ghosting" when using textures with a lot of detail and/or thin lines, it is often desirable to set the "Smoothing" preference very low.
- Texture color bias results are more predictable when applied to grayscale textures, but colored textures are allowed.
