The "Texture wrap" preference ("Tube" tab) is set to "1".

• A non-neutral (blue) texture color bias is selected ("Texture" tab) enabling "Strength" and "Smoothing" preferences.
• To avoid oversaturation it is often desirable to exclude the bias color when mixing colors ("Colors" tab), but in this case adding blue to color band 5 results in the blue "halo" effect.
• Because the texture lacks small details, the "Smoothing" preference can be set fairly high without undesirable side effects.

• A non-neutral (green) texture color bias is selected ("Texture" tab) enabling "Strength" and "Smoothing" preferences.
• Note: This tutorial uses the texture from the previous tutorial.

The "Texture wrap" preference ("Tube" tab) is set to "5".

• A non-neutral (red) texture color bias is selected ("Texture" tab) enabling "Strength" and "Smoothing" preferences.
• To avoid side effects such as "ghosting" when using textures with a lot of detail and/or thin lines, it is often desirable to set the "Smoothing" preference very low.
• Texture color bias results are more predictable when applied to grayscale textures, but colored textures are allowed.

• Will "a tubular POV pro" drain my battery? No, because it is only active when visible. Most users will never see "a tubular POV pro" in their battery usage report, except maybe when a lot of time tweaking preferences gets reported (the meter is running while the preferences screen is visible…).
• What frame rate gives the smoothest result? YMMV. Concurrent high priority background processes on your device may affect rendering smoothness ("a tubular POV pro" is a thrifty low priority process). Perceived tube speed is a balance of "Frame rate" and "Frame hop" preferences - CPU load may be affected by "Frame rate", but not by "Frame hop".
• How much RAM does "a tubular POV pro" use? Memory usage depends on many factors, including your device's configuration and your "a tubular POV pro" preferences. For best results, don't worry about it - let Android manage your device's memory for you. To get a rough estimate of the minimum memory footprint on your device:

  2. Reboot your device.
